Divergence tracks Reason as center-right, based on coverage monitored since March 2026. Across 136 scored events (710 articles), its coverage diverges from the cross-spectrum consensus at an average of 32 out of 100, above the site-wide average of 26.
Its most common framing is critical (62% of events, followed by neutral at 25%). In 57% of the events it covers, Reason takes a framing no other outlet in the cluster shares, one of the higher contrarian rates we track. Coverage concentrates on politics and economy.
Measured across shared events, Reason frames stories most like National Review (69%), Fox News (67%) and Vox (67%), and least like South China Morning Post (10% agreement).
