Divergence tracks BBC as center, based on coverage monitored since March 2026. Across 1,447 scored events (2,197 articles), its coverage diverges from the cross-spectrum consensus at an average of 25 out of 100, roughly in line with the site-wide average of 27.
Its most common framing is neutral (79% of events, followed by critical at 9%). In 20% of the events it covers, BBC takes a framing no other outlet in the cluster shares, one of the higher contrarian rates we track. Coverage concentrates on politics and war.
