Indian national truck driver arrested after fatal multi-vehicle crash in California

Manvir Singh, 24, an Indian national released at the U.S. border in 2023, was arrested after allegedly causing a multi-vehicle crash in Lodi, California on May 19 that killed two people. Singh was driving a semi-truck, allegedly failed to stop or veered off the road, and allegedly fled the scene. He was charged with vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, hit-and-run, and resisting police.
