French woman and her partner held in custody after two boys found abandoned on Portuguese roadside
Two young boys aged four and five were discovered crying beside a road near Alcacer do Sal in southern Portugal on Tuesday evening. A French woman identified as Marine R and her partner Marc B were arrested in Fatima on Thursday and brought before a Portuguese court on Saturday, where a judge ordered them held in pre-trial detention on charges of aggravated assault, endangerment and abandonment. The children are now with a French foster family in Lisbon.
