Russia announces pause in Ukraine peace talks citing Middle East conflict

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced Thursday that Ukraine peace talks are on a 'situational pause' due to the Middle East conflict. Ukrainian President Zelensky said Ukraine received signals from the U.S. about resuming talks and that a Ukrainian negotiating team is traveling to the U.S. for meetings expected Saturday. Peskov indicated Moscow hopes talks can resume when American partners can refocus on the Ukraine conflict.
