Former Congressman Barney Frank dies at 86.
Former U.S. Representative Barney Frank died at the age of 86 from congestive heart failure. He served in Congress from 1981 to 2013, becoming the first member to voluntarily come out as gay in 1987 and later the first in a same-sex marriage while in office. He was also a primary architect of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act, which overhauled financial regulations following the 2008 crisis.
