Drunk driving crash kills two men on Upper Manhattan sidewalk
A 61-year-old driver in a black Mercedes-Benz lost control and struck parked cars, hopped a curb, and hit pedestrians outside a barber shop near Amsterdam Avenue and West 109th Street in Morningside Heights on Friday evening around 6 p.m. Two men were killed and three others injured. Police said the vehicle was traveling 108 mph before impact, and the driver will face criminal charges.
