A 61-year-old woman died when a Titlis Xpress gondola cabin detached from its cable and crashed down a snowy mountainside at Engelberg ski resort in central Switzerland around 11 a.m. local time on Wednesday. The woman was alone in the gondola when it detached between the Trübsee and Stand stations. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
