The statement came after Joe Kent resigned from his position as director of the National Counterterrorism Center, claiming in his resignation letter that Iran did not pose an imminent threat and that Israel pressured the U.S. into war. Leavitt called Kent's resignation letter full of 'false claims' and said Trump gave Kent a chance but he proved not up for the job.
