United States rejects UN migration forum progress declaration
The Trump administration's State Department announced on Monday that the U.S. will not support a progress declaration from the International Migration Review Forum held May 5-8 at UN headquarters in New York. The U.S. did not participate in the forum, which reviews implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. Trump previously withdrew the U.S. from the Global Compact process in 2017.
