Department of Justice charges over 260 Tren de Aragua gang members in nationwide crackdown

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced charges against more than 25 Tren de Aragua gang members and associates in a nationwide operation by the DOJ and Joint Task Force Vulcan. The operation, which took place in late April 2025, resulted in seizures of over 80 firearms, approximately 18 kilograms of drugs including fentanyl and other narcotics, and more than $100,000 in cash across six federal jurisdictions. The Trump administration designated Tren de Aragua a foreign terrorist organization in January 2025.
