Sheriff reports evidence of human remains at home of Paul Flores' mother in Kristin Smart investigation
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Ian Parkinson announced Friday that soil testing at the Arroyo Grande home of Susan Flores, mother of Paul Flores, convicted in 2022 of killing Kristin Smart, has revealed evidence suggesting human remains were present at the location. Authorities cannot confirm whether the remains are those of Smart, who disappeared in 1996. The search warrant was executed Wednesday at the property, with experts in soil decomposition analysis collecting samples.
