FBI concludes Austin bar shooting suspect was lone actor with no terrorist organization ties
On March 1, Ndiaga Diagne, 53, opened fire outside Buford's Backyard Beer Garden in Austin, Texas, killing three people and wounding 15 others. The FBI released findings that Diagne was a lone actor with no connections to foreign terrorist organizations, though his actions were apparently inspired by grievances related to U.S. and Israeli military actions involving Iran and his admiration for deceased Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Diagne, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Senegal, was killed in a confrontation with police.
