Man pleads guilty to assaulting Rep. Ilhan Omar with vinegar at January town hall

Anthony Kazmierczak pleaded guilty Thursday to assault after spraying Rep. Ilhan Omar with apple cider vinegar during a town hall meeting in Minneapolis on January 17 or 27. Kazmierczak, 55 or 56, reached a plea deal with prosecutors that is expected to reduce his potential sentence from up to eight years to between four and 14 months. The attack occurred as Omar called for then-Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's resignation.
