Former FedEx driver sentenced to death for 2022 killing of 7-year-old girl in Texas
Tanner Horner, 34, was sentenced to death on Tuesday after pleading guilty to capital murder in the 2022 killing of Athena Strand, a 7-year-old girl he took from her home in Paradise, Texas while making a delivery. Jurors heard a month of testimony and audio evidence from inside Horner's van before deciding capital punishment was warranted. Horner will be executed by lethal injection at a date to be determined.
