Australian author Craig Silvey pleads guilty to possessing and distributing child exploitation material

Award-winning author Craig Silvey, 43, pleaded guilty in Fremantle magistrates court on Tuesday to possessing and distributing child exploitation material. Charges related to producing such material between February and June 2022 were dropped. Silvey was arrested in January following a police raid at his home, and his books have since been removed from shelves by publishers and schools.
