Cuban man dies in ICE custody in Georgia, suspected suicide
A 33-year-old Cuban man, Denny Adan Gonzalez, died in ICE custody at Stewart Detention Center in Georgia on Tuesday in what authorities believe was a suicide. He was arrested in December 2024 in North Carolina on assault and domestic violence charges and transferred to ICE custody in January. Physicians for Human Rights identified him as the 18th person to die in U.S. immigration custody in 2025 and the fifth suspected suicide.
