Republican Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina announced Sunday he would no longer block Kevin Warsh's confirmation as Federal Reserve chair after the DOJ dropped its investigation into current Fed Chair Jerome Powell. The DOJ investigation had centered on cost overruns in the Fed's headquarters renovation, now projected at $2.5 billion. A Senate Banking Committee vote on Warsh's confirmation is scheduled for April 29.
