Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs was announced Monday as the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first unanimous winner in the award's history. At 22, he is the youngest ever recipient and also led the NBA in blocked shots for a third consecutive season. He joins David Robinson and Michael Jordan as the only players to win both Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
