University of Southern California implements trial policy restricting men from certain gym areas on designated days.
USC has adopted a policy to ban men from certain areas of its Lyon Center gym on Mondays and Wednesdays from April 6 to May 15. The policy was suggested by the student group SAGE (Student Assembly for Gender Empowerment) to create spaces where women and non-binary students can exercise more comfortably. Students cited feeling uncomfortable in male-dominated gym environments as justification for the policy.
