The Kennedy Center's board of directors unanimously voted Monday to shut down operations for two years starting after July 4th celebrations for a comprehensive renovation project. The vote comes amid numerous artist resignations and cancellations during Trump's second term after he installed new leadership and renamed the facility the Trump Kennedy Center. The board also voted to replace CEO Richard Grenell with Matt Floca.
