Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy offered Ukraine's expertise in dealing with freedom of navigation to countries considering how to keep the Strait of Hormuz open amid Middle East conflict. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha participated in a virtual meeting about reopening the strait attended by about 40 countries. Zelenskyy said Ukraine has relevant expertise concerning sea waterways and defense of maritime traffic from its experience in the Black Sea.
