Hong Kong court sentences Joshua Wong to 10 years in prison on a foreign collusion national security charge.

Joshua Wong, a prominent Hong Kong pro-democracy activist, was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the High Court on a charge of colluding with foreign forces under the national security law. He pleaded guilty in September to conspiring with Nathan Law and others to lobby foreign governments for sanctions against China and Hong Kong. Wong was already serving a four-year-eight-month subversion sentence and had been due for release in January 2027.
