The United States Treasury Department removed Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodríguez from its sanctions list on Wednesday. This follows the January 3 U.S. military operation that captured her predecessor Nicolás Maduro and his wife, who were taken to New York to face drug trafficking charges. Rodríguez had been sanctioned since 2018 for allegedly undermining Venezuelan democracy.
