Oklahoma man charged with mailing hundreds of white-powder letters to officials ahead of 2024 and 2026 elections

Federal authorities charged Robin Patrick Martin of Oklahoma City with conveying a hoax and mailing threatening communications for allegedly sending more than 700 letters containing nonhazardous white powder to public officials, lawmakers, media outlets and election offices. The mailings occurred ahead of the 2024 and 2026 elections, with messages written in UV-reactive ink warning of treason arrests. The FBI said the powder was yeast or flour, and Martin was arrested Monday.
