IDF and Shin Bet announce killing of Hamas operatives in Gaza strikes, including a commander involved in holding hostages

The IDF and Shin Bet said Ihab Jamil Abu Taqiya, a Hamas squad commander involved in holding 12 hostages including Noa Argamani, Emily Hand and Ohad Ben Ami, was killed in a strike in Nuseirat on Thursday. Four other Hamas operatives, including Nukhba member Muhammad Alian Biyuk, were killed in strikes in Khan Yunis and Rafah on Wednesday, and two Hamas weapons depots were destroyed in Al-Bureij and Gaza City on Thursday night. The Times of Israel additionally reported, citing an Asharq Al-Awsat report, that Shin Bet has called Hamas operatives ahead of strikes offering them a choice to be killed alone or with their families.
