Federal Judge Alvin Hellerstein dies at age 92
U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein, appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1998 to the Southern District of New York, died Wednesday at age 92, a court spokesperson confirmed. At his death he was presiding over the criminal case against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and had repeatedly rejected Donald Trump's efforts to move his New York hush money case to federal court.
