Two Ghanaian twin brothers and a Hawaii woman pleaded guilty to a $9 million romance fraud conspiracy targeting elderly victims.
Jamal and Kamal Abubakari, 22, and Amanda Joy Opoku-Boachie, 53, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud for a scheme running from July 2024 to April 2026.
