Ethiopian Orthodox Church reports at least 60 Christians killed in two attacks in Oromia region
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church's holy synod said at least 60 Orthodox Christians were killed in two attacks, on October 20 and October 24, in Ethiopia's Oromia region. The church said more than 20 people were seriously injured and 20 homes burned. No group immediately claimed responsibility; a local official reportedly blamed a new rebel alliance including the Oromo Liberation Army, which has denied attacking civilians.
