Jordan conducts airstrikes in southern Syria targeting militants linked to a deadly church attack in Jordan

Jordan's air force struck alleged militant hideouts in southern Syria's Daraa and Sweida provinces following a church funeral attack in Jordan that killed nine people. Jordan said the strikes killed more than 20 IS fighters and were coordinated with Damascus, while Syria said they were uncoordinated and killed seven civilians including children. Jordan later expressed regret over civilian casualties.
