An Argentine federal judge dismissed a fraud investigation into President Javier Milei and his sister over the $Libra cryptocurrency collapse.
Judge Marcelo Martinez de Giorgi dismissed the criminal inquiry into President Javier Milei and his sister Karina Milei over the $Libra token, which Milei promoted on X in February 2025 and which crashed after a brief rally. The judge ruled the events did not constitute a criminal offense and that investor losses were insufficient to establish fraud. The investigation into US businessman Hayden Davis, a self-described launch adviser for the token, was also dismissed.
