Thousands of Venezuelans protest nationwide to demand free elections

Thousands of Venezuelans marched in Caracas and other cities on Thursday in the first nationwide opposition protest in nearly two years, demanding free elections. No date has been set for elections by acting President Delcy Rodriguez or US President Donald Trump, who have both said votes will be held. Opposition leader Maria Corina Machado has said elections must take place by July 2027.
