Germany arrests Ukrainian man suspected of spying for Russia

German federal prosecutors announced the arrest of a Ukrainian national identified as Vadym Y. in Brandenburg on suspicion of spying for Russia. Prosecutors say he gathered defense-related information, including on armored vehicle and ammunition production and NATO's eastern flank, via an intermediary since July 2025. He was to appear before an investigating judge at the Federal Court of Justice on Friday.
