New York Times reports Alina Habba received a $50 million deal from a Venezuelan billionaire's family while the billionaire sought a Trump pardon
The New York Times reported that Alina Habba, a former Justice Department adviser and Trump's former personal lawyer, was guaranteed more than $50 million over four years as general counsel at Concord Partners, a firm formed by the family of Venezuelan billionaire Julio Herrera Velutini. Weeks after Habba began the role on January 1, Trump granted Velutini a full pardon. Habba denied that her employment had anything to do with securing the pardon.
