Egypt's Sisi says Egyptian forces would defend Saudi territory but not attack Yemen's Houthis

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said any Egyptian military support for Saudi Arabia would be limited to defending Saudi territory and borders and would not include an attack on Yemen. Egypt's parliament delayed to October 26 a vote on authorizing the armed forces to support Saudi Arabia if requested. The statements came as Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia intensified and as Egyptian officials met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh.
