An explosion in central Athens injured four people, including two police officers.
Greek police said an explosion at a building in the Kolonos area of central Athens injured two police officers and two members of the public on Wednesday. Officers had responded to a call about a suspected drug backpack at the building entrance and found parts of an explosive device; the blast occurred as they inspected the backpack and may have been detonated remotely. Police are not treating the incident as terrorism, and the homicide unit is leading the investigation.
