WFP cuts food aid to 500,000 Palestinians in Gaza due to funding shortages

The World Food Programme announced it is reducing monthly food assistance recipients in Gaza from 1.6 million to 1.1 million people due to funding shortfalls. The agency also cut daily hot meals from 250,000 to 150,000 and halved food rations. The WFP says it needs $450 million over the next six months to maintain critical operations in Gaza and the West Bank.
