Netflix announces layoffs of approximately 1,000 employees, about 6% of its workforce

Netflix co-CEOs Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos announced in an internal memo that the company would cut roughly 1,000 jobs, approximately 6% of its 16,000-person workforce, with the greatest impact on product, technology, legal, and HR teams. The layoffs are the largest in the company's history, more than doubling the roughly 450 jobs cut in 2022. The company said it remains on track to meet its full-year financial forecast and plans to continue investing in high-impact areas.
