Federal judge orders halt to taxpayer-funded Trump administration ads; DOJ apologizes after ads air past deadline

U.S. District Judge Jennifer Rochon issued a temporary restraining order Sunday evening blocking the Trump administration from airing taxpayer-funded television ads promoting Trump's agenda. Despite the order and DHS's prior assurance that ads would stop by Sunday, two ads aired numerous times after the 6:45 p.m. Eastern deadline. The DOJ apologized Monday, citing a communication breakdown with DHS and its advertising vendor, LMD Agency.
