Kenya and Russia agree to end recruitment of Kenyan citizens for fighting in Ukraine war
Kenyan Foreign Minister Musalia Mudavadi announced that Russia has agreed to stop recruiting Kenyan citizens to fight in Ukraine after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow. According to a Kenyan intelligence report from February, more than 1,000 Kenyans had been recruited to fight for Russia in Ukraine. Mudavadi said consular services would be organized for Kenyans requiring assistance to return home.
