S&P Global reports U.S. services PMI data for September 2026.
S&P Global's Services PMI Business Activity Index rose to 58.8 in September from 56.5 in August, the strongest expansion in over five years. Input costs accelerated to their fastest pace since November 2022, raising concerns about persistent inflation above the Federal Reserve's 2 percent target. S&P Global's Chris Williamson estimated third-quarter GDP growth at around 4% based on the survey results.
