Pakistan carried out airstrikes in two Afghan provinces, killing civilians according to Kabul and militants according to Islamabad.

Pakistan launched overnight airstrikes on Kunar and Helmand provinces in Afghanistan. Afghanistan's Taliban government reported at least nine civilians, mostly women and children, killed and 11 wounded. Pakistan stated it killed 22 militants and destroyed weapons and ammunition. Neither casualty toll could be independently verified.
