An independent commission found Manchester City guilty of the vast majority of over 115 charges of breaching Premier League financial rules from 2009 to 2018, including using sham contracts to inflate revenues by more than £900 million. The club stated it will appeal the verdict, with CEO Ferran Soriano calling the ruling a conspiracy theory. Sanctions, which could include points deduction or expulsion, will be determined in a separate hearing.
