Six Flags Magic Mountain in California announced the permanent closure of its X2 rollercoaster following allegations that hundreds of riders suffered brain injuries. The ride had been closed since July 2025. Six Flags stated the ride passed safety tests but that closing it was "the right thing to do." Law firms representing injured riders and the family of a deceased rider said the closure came too late.
