Russian strikes kill civilians across Ukraine amid diplomatic tensions with Germany

Russian strikes across Ukraine killed at least six people overnight and on September 27, 2026, hitting Kyiv, Odesa, and Sumy. Ukrainian strikes also killed a civilian in Russian-occupied Enerhodar. The strikes followed a rare meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Germany's Foreign Minister Wadephul at the UN General Assembly, where Lavrov dismissed the talks.
