White House restores press access to CNN, MS NOW, and Politico after judge orders reinstatement

A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order early Thursday morning requiring the Trump administration to immediately restore White House press credentials to reporters from CNN, MS NOW, and Politico, who had been barred since the previous Saturday. Despite the order, reporters were initially turned away by the Secret Service Thursday morning before access was restored by 9:55 a.m. ET. U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly, a Trump appointee, rejected the administration's national security justification and set a September 28 deadline for the outlets to file for a preliminary injunction.
