Israel accepts delivery of INS Drakon submarine from Germany
The Israeli Navy is set to officially receive the INS Drakon, its sixth submarine, at a ceremony at Haifa Naval Base on Thursday. The German-made Dolphin II-class submarine arrived after an approximately 8,000-km voyage from Kiel, Germany, following around 12 years of planning and construction. It features air-independent propulsion, 10 torpedo tubes, and is the largest submarine in Israel's fleet at over 70 meters long.
