Eighteen suspects in the 2021 assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse are extradited from Haiti to the United States.

On September 20, 2026, U.S. officials announced that 18 suspects in the July 2021 assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse were flown by military plane from Haiti to Florida to stand trial in the Southern District of Florida. U.S. Attorney Jason Reding Quiñones stated that 30 people have been indicted in the killing and that the prosecution is ongoing. The suspects include more than a dozen Colombian soldiers and a former Haitian government official.
