Poll finds over half of Americans concerned about AI environmental impacts
A joint poll by AP-NORC and the University of Chicago's Energy Policy Institute found that 53% of Americans are extremely or very concerned about AI's environmental impacts, up roughly 12 percentage points from last year. The survey of 3,424 US adults also found broad concern about data centers' effects on electricity prices and water supplies.
