Vice President Vance says US-Iran conflict will enter a new phase within months

Vice President JD Vance told the New York Post that the US-Iran conflict's first phase, destroying Iran's nuclear program and conventional military, is complete, and a second phase focused on preventing Iran from rebuilding will become apparent in the coming months. Vance said commercial traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has returned to over 50% of normal levels, though Iranian attacks on shipping continue. President Trump separately predicted the war would end immediately after the November midterm elections.
